Monday fiddling around

Had a heck of a time this morning figuring out how to post an entry. :-) Today it has been do one load of laundry, feed birds inside and out, find the letter opener Wil had moved from one drawer to another, work on the Firehouse Sub pickle bucket and listen to Gaither Classics. Does anyone know how to get the pickle odor out of a plastic bucket? Couldn't resist the $2 for their charity that got me this bright bucket. If it didn't smell so strong I'd use it inside as a wastebasket. Have an appt. with dermatology tomorrow. Hope the lesion is nothing.  I still have a heavy heart for those lost in the school shooting here in TX and my flag is still at half staff.  This was my Mother's Day 'corsage' and I wore it again yesterday. Still looking good. Daughter and I remember when a corsage was more than one flower. But this is perfect.

Mother's Day lunch?

Originally daughter spoke of making dinner. Now today, Saturday, it is where do you want to go?   It has been a hard week for my body. I'm not in favor of waiting on a bench to be seated. Wil used to do that and he doesn't so much now. To top it off my right index finger woke me and my typing isn't taken much of the pain out. It must have triggered during the night.  So my answer to the dilemma, stop at Fire House Subs on the way home from church. Maybe they still have the turkey/cranberry sub they used to. I liked that.  The advantage to eating at home....when I can't swallow something it isn...

Friday May 11th

Now how is this going to go? Brand new blog, maybe. I keep getting warnings on the old one as not secure.  This is a 'whatyouseeiswhatyouget' editor.  Yesterday's tea luncheon went well. Millie is such a gracious hostess and definitely was reared in the South. The table setting was beautiful, it was her mother's wedding china she told us. Before we sat down I was admiring the salt cellars in her buffet. I have some that were my Grandma's.  It's funny growing up Grandma used salt shakers, I never saw the salt cellar's I have.   Millie has a cross someone made out of twigs from her tree. I would like to try that, we have a lot of twigs from the hybrid oak out front.  I can't recall what the cord was or the Bible verse tying Millie's together.  Millie had sent her husband to pick me up. My mind just was not zeroing in on the google map. I could see no way to drive and follow the instructions and with my shorter every day memory that would be no he...
