2020

Once again I found the way to make a post. Doesn't mean I will remember. I could write a post it note but I'd lose that among the other post a notes. lol Coming up on my 81st birthday in October. It will be two years since I had a stroke 2 days before my birthday. Good thing I'm not superstitious. Don't know why I'm writing, have no readers.

Whatya know I found I had bookmarked here so I could find the place again. I still write at Xanga but I bet one of these days it will drop off the net. I get such security warnings with it.  Tried to journal elsewhere but my regulars wanted me to go back. I still have residual from the stroke but I walk around the house without the walker now, inside and out. I'm still dealing with hubby's dementia and today not as well as I should have.  Hopefully I do better the rest of the week.
Grey days and finally some winter temps, if you call 40's winter. Happened to find my way to post again. Obviously. Today I need to get hubby to drive me to get my car a tune up and oil change. I dread that as we will have to wait and they take forever there to do anything!  Maybe I should just do the oil change first.

Found the lost

I have no earthly idea if I will find the way to post again. As I age I dislike change even more. It is hard to keep up and I just turned 79 in Oct. Two days before I found my head hitting the concrete floor of the garage. First hospital took a scan, brain bleed, off to another hospital where the second one was found. Spent our 58th anniv. there also. After a week off to rehab where I learned to use a walker as my balance is really off.  Why am I writing where no one reads?
It has been a long time since I wrote. I had trouble even finding how to post here. Still hanging out at xanga as that is what I understand and more people come there. Few ever showed up here.

Monday fiddling around

Had a heck of a time this morning figuring out how to post an entry. :-) Today it has been do one load of laundry, feed birds inside and out, find the letter opener Wil had moved from one drawer to another, work on the Firehouse Sub pickle bucket and listen to Gaither Classics. Does anyone know how to get the pickle odor out of a plastic bucket? Couldn't resist the $2 for their charity that got me this bright bucket. If it didn't smell so strong I'd use it inside as a wastebasket. Have an appt. with dermatology tomorrow. Hope the lesion is nothing.  I still have a heavy heart for those lost in the school shooting here in TX and my flag is still at half staff.  This was my Mother's Day 'corsage' and I wore it again yesterday. Still looking good. Daughter and I remember when a corsage was more than one flower. But this is perfect.

Mother's Day lunch?

Originally daughter spoke of making dinner. Now today, Saturday, it is where do you want to go?   It has been a hard week for my body. I'm not in favor of waiting on a bench to be seated. It will be crowded every where. I thought I'd go to the store and get a skillet frozen dinner. I love those, only they have to many carrots and Wil won't eat those so I end up with them. Don't think daughter likes them either.  Apparently she is not feeling like standing to cook and skillet is about all I can manage. Then I'm left with clean up a lot now. Wil used to do that and he doesn't so much now. To top it off my right index finger woke me and my typing isn't taken much of the pain out. It must have triggered during the night.  So my answer to the dilemma, stop at Fire House Subs on the way home from church. Maybe they still have the turkey/cranberry sub they used to. I liked that.  The advantage to eating at home....when I can't swallow something it isn...
